San Francisco

This year, San Francisco was recognized as both The Best U.S. City to Live In and The Happiest City in America (7th Happiest in the World).

I'm feeling a little homesick for that foggy, hilly, jewel of a place.

Sometimes I wonder if leaving was the right decision,
but if I've learned anything in the last 26 (almost 27!) years,
it's that there are no right decisions;
there are just the decisions you make.

What you do next is the important part.

San Francisco, you will always be my home,
the place my heart is tethered to,
no matter where I am.

And so I will celebrate your successes, too,
even if they are mine in spirit only.
